Clear expectations, gentler visits

Terms of Service

Most grooming disagreements start when expectations were never discussed. These terms explain how Warm Whiskers Pet Baths handles appointments, coat assessments, estimates, payment, photos, and pet safety before your pet arrives.

01 / Appointment policy

Bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling

Appointment requests need a reply from the salon before they are confirmed. Keep the confirmation details handy; they set the agreed time and services.

Requesting and confirming a visit

Share your pet’s species, breed or coat type, approximate size, requested services, and any needs that may affect handling. Your appointment is confirmed when Warm Whiskers Pet Baths replies with an agreed time and service details.

Changing or cancelling a booking

If plans change, contact the salon as soon as you can so the time can be discussed. Any notice period or charge for a late cancellation or missed appointment must be stated in your booking confirmation before it applies.

Arriving late

Arrive at the confirmed drop-off time. If you are running late, call or message the salon promptly. A late arrival may mean a shorter service, a revised appointment time, or rescheduling if the remaining slot cannot safely fit the agreed work.

If the salon needs to move your visit

If staffing, equipment, or a pet-care concern affects the appointment, the salon will contact you to discuss another time. We will confirm any revised booking with you directly.

A confirmed time matters.

02 / Drop-off readiness

Arrival requirements and health disclosures

Safe handling starts before grooming. Tell us what your pet needs, then bring them securely contained and ready for a calm handover.

Bring your pet securely

Keep dogs on a secure leash and bring cats in a secure carrier. Please arrive at the agreed drop-off time and share a current phone number for the appointment.

Drop-off checklist
  • Use a leash for dogs and a closed carrier for cats.
  • Tell us who may collect your pet if you will not return yourself.
  • Bring any agreed grooming instructions or relevant care notes.

Tell us about health and behaviour

Before grooming starts, disclose skin irritation, recent illness or surgery, parasites, medication, mobility limits, bite history, fear responses, and handling sensitivities. Mention relevant vaccination information and ask us if records are needed for your visit.

What to tell the groomer
  • Any condition that could make bathing, brushing, or nail care uncomfortable.
  • Medication, allergies, or veterinary instructions that affect handling.
  • Known reactions to dryers, clippers, restraint, or unfamiliar people.

Health comes first.

Warm Whiskers Pet Baths may pause, decline, or reschedule a service if a pet’s condition or behaviour could put the pet, staff, or other animals at risk. We will explain the concern and discuss next steps with you.

03 / Coat assessment

Matting, coat condition, and service estimates

Requested styles depend on the coat we find at drop-off. We check condition, comfort, and the time needed before confirming the work.

Dense tangles and severe matting can pull on skin and make brushing painful. In those cases, a shorter clip may be the kinder option, even when you requested a longer style. We will discuss practical choices with you before proceeding.

Coat length, shedding, pet tolerance, and condition can change the appointment length and the result. The service estimate is based on what we can assess at drop-off, not on a photo or a previous visit alone.

We will pause for approval. If the coat assessment changes the service or estimate, we will explain the reason and confirm your agreement before continuing with the revised work.

Comfort sets the limit.

01

Check the coat

We look for matting, skin concerns, shedding, and areas that need careful handling.

02

Explain the options

We describe suitable services and any limits on length, timing, or comfort.

03

Confirm before work

We agree on the service and revised estimate with you before proceeding.

04 / Service and consent

Payment expectations and photo permissions

Know the agreed service and price before grooming proceeds. Your pet’s photo is a separate choice and is never assumed to be part of booking.

Service and payment

The salon will confirm the services and estimate with you before work begins. Payment is due after the completed appointment; accepted payment methods and any agreed changes will be confirmed directly with you.

If the coat assessment calls for a different service, we will ask for your approval before changing the plan.

Photos need your permission

We will ask for your consent before using your pet’s photograph in the gallery or elsewhere on this website. Saying no does not change the grooming service you booked.

You can withdraw permission for future use by contacting the salon. Read how personal information is handled in the Privacy Policy.

Consent stays with you.

05 / Shared responsibilities

Owner responsibilities and contact

Accurate details help us choose a safe service for your pet. Raise any concern before drop-off, especially if your pet’s needs have changed since booking.

Please give complete, accurate information about your pet’s health, behaviour, coat condition, and handling needs. Tell us promptly if anything changes between booking and arrival.

  • Follow the agreed drop-off and collection arrangements.
  • Review the proposed service and estimate before grooming starts.
  • Keep a working phone available during the appointment in case we need your decision.
  • Arrange veterinary advice for medical concerns; grooming is not veterinary care.

If a pet becomes distressed or needs urgent attention, grooming will stop. We will contact you or your named emergency contact and follow the instructions available. Veterinary assessment and treatment are outside the grooming service, and related veterinary costs are the owner’s responsibility.

Your pet’s safety comes first.
